Leimert Park Institute of Film Arts

Recognizing the local culture and regional limitations, this project aims to provide a space that is highly accessible for the community and polyvalent to accommodate different programmatic needs. Curved geometry on the ground level provides smooth routes across all directions, and highlights permeability to offer a welcoming gesture and connect people with other cultural programs around the site. Central courtyard promotes both physical and visual interactions between different programs. Exterior stairs and elevators produce continuous circulation path to integrate segmented programs.
