LA Riverside Community in 2100

Considering the issue that the intrusion in the coastal area because of the sea level rise and the fact that lots of sediments are trapped behind the dam. We would want to come up with an adaptable strategy to release the sediment and help the influenced community more adaptable to the related flooding risk.

The strategy could derive into three parts: release the dam, transport the sediment through the LA river canal, building up a resilient riverside community to adapt the frequent flood event, and equip the nature-based sand replenishment project at the coastal area. The project would focus on how to build up new riverside community facing with the risk of climate change.
