THE SMILE

“The Smile” combines a residential tower, an in-between shared space, and an outpatient clinic into a smile-shaped footprint. The concavity invites visitors to the front and conceals utility space from the main street at the back. The project seeks to blend all programs into one building and create fluidity for different users to travel through the building. A path weaves between the clinic and residential area to allow daylight and a journey to a view platform and an exercise trail. Like a good neighbor, the trail extends and embraces the Snyder Ballfields by hugging it following its perimeter. “The Smile” will bring a mixed-use program that celebrates convenience, share and care to the users.
