Managing Ocean Plastics: A Modular Filtration System Up & Downstream

Among all wastes, plastic becomes the most threatening kind today. They are outputted from local rivers, and then driven by ocean currents. In the So Cal Region, plastic alone contributed to about 50% of the total ocean debris. In order to create a flexible and viable platform integrating education, research, entertainment and pollution treatment, a series of ecological plastic disposal modulars with different functions are proposed along shoreline and river to solve the ocean plastic issue.
