Mixed Mania

My project is focused on mixed-use spaces and multifunctionality. There are three base modules- retail (yellow), residential (purple), and commercial area (blue). The base modules can be altered to whatever is needed, i.e., commercial space can be retail. The three modules are scattered throughout the site and, due to them being different sizes, create different experiences in each area. They are shuffled together to ensure a variety in space and deleted for sunlight and air to flow. Programmatically, larger rooms that require less sun, ex. Movie theaters, etc., are towards the middle of the buildings, while residences and retail spaces line the perimeter to allow for sunshine and interaction with the district.
