Space Node

The project is a community center with basketball courts, kids rooms, classrooms, exhibition spaces, gym and multi-purpose room. I started with a two-way truss system shed and moved the highest point of the primary trusses to create the origami shape roof which is built with concrete panels. The same language applies to the facade that gives a continuous reading of the envelope. After visiting the site, I want to create a community center that has a big open courtyard for the neighborhood, and cluster the similar programs together so that’s more efficient for people visiting.
