The Odd Lot
This project explores the concept and expression of boundary, through transformations of 2D line maps, in which a boundary could be a solid line that is rigid and defined, or it could acquire some softness and ambiguity. The design results in a residential community with three zones- individual houses, co-housing and community programs. Canopies in different levels serve as public corridors and claim the large-scale boundary, while green spaces and openings in the facades suggest the blurring of such boundary. Spaces inside the boundaries are also used for public purposes, such as gym, cafe or lounges.
