Urban Society

The project explores the boundary of shared spaces, aiming to provide the inhabitants of the community and the residents of Leimert Park as a whole. It creates a platform of interaction and entertainment through its variety of outdoor public spaces, such as the urban linear park, outdoor amphitheater seating, the picnic area as well as an outdoor cafe.

The project also seeks to explore a new possibility of combining housing and public space; the boundary of public and private are intentionally blurred and mixed to create a new model of co-living society. In terms of unit types, the conceptual interest is to provide a variety of unit types that accommodate the Leimart park working class’s urban lifestyle.
