Venice Site 5

This project probes how structure can be roused by an everyday object. The motif of a lifesaver helped influence design decisions and its subtractive qualities determined how form was contrived to design a site for kids to interact with Venice Beach in an educational way. The site consists of a cafe, a junior lifeguard center, and a lifeguard tower which all introduce a friendly environment for children to connect with one another and Venice Beach as a whole.
