CITY X: Venice Biennale Proposals for Xiong’An New Area

The USC SOA, along with a number of other schools, institutions, and offices, was invited to participate in the CITY X project to be presented at the 2020 Venice Biennale. This studio will devote itself to the research and production of an intensively investigated, ambitiously designed, and beautifully delineated proposal about the future of architecture and urbanism in the Xiong’An New Area in China – a planned city 20 minutes away from Beijing by bullet train.
