The Matrix

Our project is a co-working space for international workers.

It is located on the outskirts of downtown LA, In a part of the city which is rapidly transforming.
The building is wrapped around the perimeter of the site facing the the post industrial urban context While creating a large and protected open space in the middle.

This idea of open space continues through out the building through green pockets between these working spaces that provide flexibility and a chance for social interaction and community. Also we provided a hotel to accommodate international workers as there is no walk-able hotel near the site. The hotel bookends the building on one end shielding the site from the noise and the harsh conditions of the bridge.
