SLOW TIME: A Multi-Generational Land Care Ethic
We define Slow Time as a new land care ethic which forefronts stewardship as a processual, long-term investment with results that may not be visible during the human life cycle. As such, we have created a series of books that are a multigenerational, educational resource written to children, young adults, and adults. These books promote an understanding of land care as inextricably linked to Slow Time. We intend for our books to acknowledge the autonomy of nature, yet we also enumerate the ways that human societies can ethically invest work into the creation of robust and dynamic ecologies.
