Education Superblock
My superblock of education creates an extended school zone that pursues openness and connection.
The form is based on a generic city gird that derives volumes at intersections of implied volumes of the grid. Such volumes are assigned different programs of education and manipulated in order to meet the needs of the given program.
There are largely four programs: K-12 schools, specialized schools, education support buildings, and housing.
The superblock experiments with how how tightly, how closely, and how seamlessly different types of education can be woven into the urban fabric and puts emphasis on its collective and public aspect.
