Environmental Design: Personal Space, Street Space, City Space

Through the understanding of context and site at 3 different scales: Personal Space, Street Space, and City Space, this studio proposes a new “City of the Future”. Students document, analyze, and diagram the surrounding project neighborhood to inform a series of parceled areas. Located in Burbank, California students develop a series of superblocks that focus on urban trends for the future: human-centric design, blue zones, coronavirus effects, multigenerational housing, renewable energy, resilient cities, green cities, and democratic cities to name a few.
